Is Conte genuinely considering a move for Llorente?

In what would be considered a shocking move to many, it appears that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is ready to make a move for Swansea striker Fernando Llorente in the January transfer window.

Conte appears not to be too keen on his other options, despite saying that he will give young Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi a chance soon enough in his side. For whatever reason, he’s simply not taken to the youngster as one would have thought he would. In his limited time, the Belgian has played well, but it appears that won’t be enough.

This is an even bigger blow, however, to Swansea City who will be needing all of the help they can get at this point. With still no manager to be named, the club are just teetering above the brink. And they are running out of games and days to correct the problems. Would Swansea sell Llorente, who can changes games in an instant on his day, so that they could reinforce the side? Or would it be better to allow Llorente the opportunity to help them stay afloat and then sell him on?

There’s no doubt that he is very similar to Diego Costa’s style in terms of his height and the diversity of options he can use to score goals. So will the new Swansea manager, when the time, comes favor this kind of striker or will he give the green light for a bigger club like Chelsea to swoop in and recruit a top class player. Only time will tell, and it could be a very crucial decision come May.
